ORI Martin's ongoing commitment, as evidenced by numerous investments over the years, is to produce quality steel while respecting the environment and the local community. This is why it decided to draw up its first Sustainability Report, in compliance with the most widespread international GRI standards and concerning the 2019 data. For this year, ORI Martin has decided to limit the reporting of sustainability performance to the parent company ORI Martin S.p.A. which includes the Brescia plant (steel shop, rolling mill, and heat treatments).
The document, shared with all internal and external stakeholders, summarizes data and activities carried out by ORI Martin in terms of environmental sustainability. In addition to the general focus on environmental issues, the Group's vision has always been based on protection of ecosystems, consumption of resources, climate crisis management, social issues, skills development, promotion of workers' health and safety, and relations with the local community. These elements are recounted in the pages of the Sustainability Report through the faces of those who every day contribute personally to the achievement of these important objectives.
The Sustainability Report, presented today to the press with an online event with the participation of Uggero de Miranda, President ORI Martin; Giovanni Marinoni Martin, Vice President; Andrea Agnelli, Chief Executive Officer; Giovanni Comboni, Director and Member of the Executive Committee; Roberto de Miranda, Director and Member of the Executive Committee; Carolina de Miranda, Sustainability Manager ORI Martin, is downloadable at the following link:
